YEA YEA YEA.

I have returned.
Fourth of July camping with the family was great, as per usual. Family time can never really be surpassed. Church camp was super great. I had definitely the best group of girls I could've asked for, God blessed me with 7 of the most hilarious, sweet, and hungry to learn junior high girls at camp.

Let me tell you about them...

April's the leader, inventive, super sassy and a riot. Ciara is the loudmouth, always has a story, always giggling, always making me giggle. Rachel is the sweetheart, always helpful and includes everyone. Bethany is my favorite (don't tell the others), she's such a champ, a little ragamuffin wild child, hilarious, energetic and strives for God. Aspen is the sneak, snuck us food from the kitchen, snuck out when I wasn't looking, but was also super kind and respectful. Sam is hardcore, but is very gentle-hearted, didn't really ever pay attention, but had the most well placed sarcasm I have ever heard. And Cady is the shy one, but gets really riled up and blurts out her whole life story, and hurls toothpaste at elementary campers who woke us up at 5am, awesome.

I hope I changed these girls this week as much as they changed me, we had a blast. And I got to decorate everything in sight with glitter glue, eat endless amounts of candy, have five sets of fingers styling my hair, make up stupid dances and songs, play spoons for hours, talk about boys and got to act like a 12 year old for days on end. It was perfect.

It was also really awesome to see and encourage these young women of God to grow deeper in their faith. To watch them be challenged and see them working concepts over in their 12 year old heads. I'm so proud of the ways in which they are thinking and acting. I was such a loser when I was their age, they've already lapped me.

It was great for me as well. I got to be reminded of so many of God's truths, hear some amazing speakers, praise God in the wilderness, have quiet time (because I gave up music for the week, SO hard for me, but I did it, and it was awesome), enjoy old friends that have known me since I was a wee tot, make new little tot friends myself, and generally playing around and investing in kid's lives. I had a fantastic week seeing God work. But I (sadly) did not take any pictures, so you'll have to use your imagination.
